Terms & Conditions
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Find My Homie, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Find My Homie.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a tenancy in the UK to use Find My Homie. The service is currently intended for people looking for flatshares in London.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens on your account. Give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. One person, one account.
4. What we provide
Find My Homie is a matching tool. We help you discover people who may be compatible flatmates based on your quiz answers and preferences. We do not list properties, broker tenancies, run background checks, or guarantee that any match will result in a successful flatshare. Any agreement you reach with another member is between you and them.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post (profile, photos, messages). By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and process it as needed to operate the service. Don't post content that infringes others' rights or that you don't have permission to share.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. In short: be honest, be respectful, no harassment, no discrimination, no scams, no spam, no scraping, no using the platform for anything illegal.
7. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these Terms or our Community Guidelines, including without notice where there is risk to other members. You can delete your account at any time from your profile.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". We don't promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we don't verify members' identities or statements. Meet in safe public places first and use your judgement when arranging viewings or signing leases.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost rent, lost deposits, property damage, or disputes between members. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you've paid us in that period.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll let you know before they take effect. Continued use after the changes means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
